Abstract
The reusability and reconsideration of water usage in our homes may not be widely discussed, but even small efforts to conserve every drop of water can have a significant impact. Changing behavior in a context where individuals have constant access to water poses a challenge. In this study, we employ the Research through Design approach to investigate whether saving freshwater for reuse or re-purposing "not dirty" water in kitchens and bathrooms can lead to substantial savings in costs and carbon emissions associated with water filtration from sewage systems.
