Abstract
Important and complex decisions need large groups of decision makers. Linking decision makers along decision links constitutes an essential element for the operation of such groups
Unfortunately, the overhead of message passing becomes prohibitive in a flat organization. Models of group decisions are discussed in context with addressing and message passing algorithms. A hierarchical network representation scheme for decision makers is proposed to solve the linking problem. The two key features of the modeling approach are the hierarchical addressing mechanism and the adaptive message passing algorithm.
