dc.description.abstractThe practice of information systems application and development is definitely in need of scund theoretical foundations the task to develop them was formulated and undertaken by IFIP. The document processing machines Idcpml theory is an attempt to accomplish the task. The paper presents the theory in a very condensed way and discusses: task formulated by IFIP, enviroment and scope of dcpm usage, activities of dcp~ users, architetur and organization of fullutility dcpms. The theory has originated of the praactice.
