Twitter has grown rapidly since its launch, and as a relatively open data source, the platform has been targeted for academic research at a similarly rapid pace. Building on prior work, our poster presents a systematic review of academic research from 2013 to 2022 that used Twitter as their primary platform for data collection and analysis of tweets. We present an overview of the disciplines represented, methods used to collect the data, volume of tweets harvested, methods of analysis, and related data. We then provide a closer analysis of how, if at all, researchers engaged with ethical considerations when conducting research with Twitter data.en
