It examines the use of audio recordings and their presentation in a three-dimensional sound-field installation to provide an additional layer of data, analysis and interactivity to the investigation of pedestrian urban environments. This installation combines culturally and socially definitive sounds, photographs, architectural drawings and introductory texts to draw attention to the unique qualities of walking spaces and their use context, participatory nature and importance to life in the modern city.enListening to the Walkable CityText/Conference Paper10.1007/978-3-319-33464-6_22
