In this project, we will design and evaluate a CDSS to help trauma resuscitation teams treat patients with life-threatening injuries. In our preliminary research, we examined approaches to designing interfaces within CDSSs that capture data needed for decision support. We also studied how the system’s recommendations should be communicated to the clinical team, finding that clinicians perceived decision support alerts as potential coordination mechanisms. In our future work, we will evaluate how the alerts impact team performance, communication, and coordination.encoordination mechanismstrauma resuscitationclinical decision support systemsDesigning and Evaluating Decision Support Systems for Clinical TeamsText/Conference Paper10.1145/3565967.3571755
